La goutte comme source d’inspiration.
Décliner chaque saison ses nouvelles collections au départ d'une seule et même source d'inspiration, à savoir une simple goutte, elle ne l'aurait jamais imaginé il y a quelques années en se lançant… il faut le faire, non ?
Et là se situe le point d’ancrage du travail de Caroline Swolfs, créer au départ de cette contrainte constante qu’elle s’est imposée et qui rend ses créations d’autant plus intéressantes et personnelles. Ce qui est évidemment impressionnant, c’est l’infinité de métamorphoses qu’une forme aussi simple peut subir car l’imagination de la créatrice paraît sans limites.
Caroline, le répète volontiers: "Mon inspiration vient de tout ce qui m’entoure, j’adore me promener dans la nature, je suis très sensible aux couleurs, aux paysages, aux saisons… j’observe les gens, leurs humeurs… quant à cette fameuse goutte, je pense qu’elle m’inspire tant car l’eau est mon élément favori, c’est là que ma créativité trouve sa source."

De druppel als bron van inspiratie.
Toen Caroline zich enkele jaren geleden lanceerde als juwelenontwerpster, had ze nooit durven dromen dat haar collectie elk seizoen opnieuw de druppel als unieke inspiratiebron mee zou krijgen.
En toch bleek dit het geval : de druppel werd letterlijk de rode draad door Caroline’s oeuvre. Een regel die ze zichzelf oplegt en desondanks geen enkele afbreuk doet aan het boeiende en uiterst persoonlijke karakter van haar ontwerpen.
Indrukwekkend is het oneindig aantal metarmofoses dat zo’n simpele vorm kan ondergaan, getuigend van de nooit aflatende verbeelding van de ontwerpster.
Caroline drukt dit als volgt uit: “Inspiratie haal ik uit alles wat mij omringt. Ik hou van lange wandelingen, ben zeer gevoelig voor kleuren, landschappen, seizoensveranderingen…en het observeren van mensen en hun stemmingen. Mijn nooit aflatende fascinatie voor water speelt daarbij een vanzelfsprekende rol als bron van mijn werk.”

The droplet as a source of inspiration.
A few years ago, when she launched herself into the creation of jewellery, she would never have dare to imagine each season of her new collections based on a single source of inspiration, namely a single droplet…
... but that is what happened. Indeed, that has become the anchor point of the work of Caroline Swolfs - that constant constraint that she imposed on herself, which makes her creations all the more interesting and personal.
What is particularly impressive is the infinity of metamorphoses that such a simple shape can undergo because the imagination of the creator seems unlimited.
She says : “My inspiration comes from everything around me. I adore nature walks, I am very sensitive to colours, landscapes, seasons,… I observe people and their moods. As for this famous droplet. I think it inspires me because water is my favourite element; it is there that my creativity finds its source.”
